The fight doesn’t stop after 8 March

Ethan Arsht

We love that on 8 March every year the whole world comes together in support of gender equality. This annual observance plays a key role in highlighting how far we have come but also how far we still have to go to achieve real equality for women.

From the news reports this week in the United Kingdom that the requirement of big companies to publish the gender pay gap has actually made little impact over the last three years, to the fact that women make up only 30.2% of European national parliaments, it is clear that we are not there yet. Our fight doesn’t stop after 8 March.

Did you see our Act! campaign on Sunday that highlighted our European Women’s Academy (EWA)? Since we launched this programme in 2016, we have trained over 100 women to stand up against men in their political elections and careers. And we aren’t done yet. Applications are open for the EWA Class of 2020 – we can’t wait to train more talented, liberal women!

But to do that, we need your help. That is my we are asking you to contribute to the European Women’s Academy 2020, so that we can continue to empower women in politics! Click here to make your contribution today

Thank you – we will keep you posted on this year’s EWA Class in future Act! updates!
